Articles
I used to try list the articles I have written for magazines, but that became a bit of a lark. Suffice to say I do a column in the Complete Fly Fisherman magazine (South Africa) , and articles there and in Fly Culture magazine in the UK, as well as bits and pieces elsewhere.

It’s interesting to hear about your contributions to both South African and UK fly fishing magazines. The contrast in fishing cultures must provide rich content for your readers. Do you find that the techniques and approaches to fly fishing differ significantly between the two regions?
Hi Jacob. Thanks for the note. I had to think about that one, but on balance, no. I think the range of flyfishers from young competitive tech guys to old traditional blokes on the other end, are similar. Here in SA we have some who chase all species, some keen on indigenous fish, other chase rare species, and then some like me , who, while trying not to be a snob about it, just like our Trout. And I think the UK scene mirrors that from what I can see.
