I did a couple of summers ago on my favorite “small” stream.” I’m a reel nut and really love my Orvis reel collection, so it took a while to get used to that, but it was enjoyable as it would be if I was using spinning gear or a tree branch and string. And for small streams it definitely has it’s advantages. I haven’t bought any Tenkara gear and maybe won’t, but I’d be the last to say don’t try it.
