Hi Roger . I think you will find that if you look closely at these little chaps, the orange and red spots are there, but they are tiny, and grow in proportion as the fish gets bigger…..but hey…I’m no scientist….just observation. That blue cheek spot they sometimes get….I don’t ever see that on tiny/young fish….

Now I know that Brown Trout are born with fully grown black freckles ….. do the other colours appear later on?
